LGBTQIA+ Recruitment Campaign for CASA of Travis County

This digital campaign's objective is to recruit, train, and screen LGBTQIA+ volunteers to serve the disproportionate amount of youth in care who identify as Queer. Many of these teens are often at higher risk for displacement, violence at the hands of others, and rejection from their own families.

Youth in the child welfare system who identify as gay, transgender, lesbian, bisexual, queer, and questioning can often feel misunderstood, isolated, and unaccepted. They need someone who understands. Someone who will be there. That person could be you.

LGBTQIA+ youth and teens who have at least one caring adult in their life were 40% less likely to attempt suicide in the past year. As a volunteer advocate, you could be the person to make sure every child and teen we serve grows up feeling safe, accepted, and loved for their authentic self.
